Lustrous plate of light gray/blue celestite bordered and grown over light brown celestite. The early phase is colored by hydrocarbon inclusions that were 'soaked' up during formation, secondary phase is relatively pure and devoid of inclusions. No point of attachment. Celestite is a relatively rare mineral on a district scale but common from the Annabel Lee and Minerva #1 mines. Nice miniature from the Smith Collection.
